A radio documentary entitled ‘Mission Possible’ will be broadcast on Newstalk 106-108 fm on Saturday 22nd April 2023 at 9:00 pm. Produced by Grainne McPolin, it tells the fascinating story of five Irish women religious who worked in the missions abroad; why these women chose the life that they did and the challenges they faced not only on their missionary posting but also on return home to Ireland.
Join us for a Lenten Bible Study each Wednesday during Lent at St. Saviour’s Parish. We will be journeying through the Gospel of Mark, watching and discussing a series on the Gospel of Mark by Dr. Tim Gray followed by a time of Q&A and prayer.
Meeting in St. Saviour’s Parish Hall (enter through side doors on Dominick Street) from 7.30 – 8.30pm on March 8th, 15th, 22nd & 29th. Please bring your Bible if you have one.
There will be a meeting of the Parish Pastoral Council on Tuesday next, 14th February 2023. at 7:30 pm in the Parish Centre.
2023-Jan-23: You are invited to take the Mass Leaflet home with you at the weekend and to use it for prayer and meditation during the week. Please also take a copy of the Parish Newsletter to catch up on parish news and to read about forthcoming events. Copies of the Irish Catholic publication are also available from the Church porch.
Some Boxes of Envelopes for the year 2023, for parishioners who contribute to the Weekly Collection in this manner, remain to be collected from the Church. Parishioners, who wish to join the Envelope Collection, are invited to contact the Sacristan, Margaret Clifford. As you know, this system has the added benefit that the Parish may receive a further contribution from Revenue. See the Newsletter of 8 January 2023 for details.
2023-Jan-13: As announced in recent newsletters, the 11:30 Mass on Sunday 15 January will be offered by Fr. Colm Meaney for all our bereaved parishioners. It is an opportunity to remember our loved ones, to share the experience of grief and to support each other. See the current issue of the Parish Newsletter (15 Jan.) for further information on the Bereavement Support Group.
2023-Jan-03: Boxes of Envelopes for the year 2023, for parishioners who contribute to the Weekly Collection in this manner, are now available in the Church. Please collect them from the area near the Crib. All boxes are labelled and it would be greatly appreciated if you can safely deliver some to your neighbours. Parishioners, who wish to join the Envelope Collection, are invited to contact one of the priests or the sacristan.
The Feast of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph, which is normally marked on the Sunday after Christmas Day, will be celebrated tomorrow, Friday 30th December 2022.
Mass will be at the usual time of 10:00 am.
